Shell Replacements for Windows

I have been happily humming along with LiteStep on my Windows boxen, but I was inspired to try SphereXP. It was kinda perty, but on this 1.7GHz P4 256RAM, it ran slower than a bag of molasses flowing uphill.

So I thought that while I was monkeying around with this stuff, I would check out the latest version of FlyakiteOSX, a total makeover for XP that makes it look like Tiger [Panther is also an option]. I like it a lot. Maybe a smidge slow, but it’s fun and much closer looking to the real thing than you would expect for free. I combined it with a Firefox skin that looks like metal Safari and sometimes I can almost fool myself. Almost.
